Video Streaming App To Be Embedded In Idol 4 Smartphones

TiZR, a new app dedicated entirely to social streaming, announced today at the 2016 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that it has secured a partnership with Alcatel OneTouch, a brand of TCL Communication and the fifth largest cellphone brand in North America.

TiZR makes it easy and safe for its users to broadcast private moments of their lives to a restricted and controlled audience. The app will be embedded in Alcatel OneTouch’s flagship smartphone, the Idol 4.

In the smartphone’s camera app, a single tap of the Idol 4’s “Boom Key” will allow users to stream and share live video broadcasts on TiZR with friends all over the world. TiZR also announced on Monday that it will be embedding a 360° live video player into the app to provide users with the most immersive way to attend live events. When a video is streamed using a 360 degree camera, a specific icon will be presented to the user to launch the player.

Viewsonic will be launching its own 7-inch tablet running the latest Android 2.2 Froyo OS coming this Autumn. The tablet is rumored to have voice functionality via GSM (radio) and 3/5MP camera on its back. So, who wants a phone bigger than Dell Streak?

Chile has launched another Android device – T7-3G. This tablet has 7-inch color LCD display, 720MHz ARM11 processor and runs Android 2.1 as its operating system. It is being advertised not only as an eReader but also as a MID since it boasts both Wireless LAN and 3G radio.

For storage, you get 512MB, extendible via 32GB SDHC. The Chile T7-3G allows you to view 1080p videos, thanks to hardware decoding support for RMVB, AVI, MKV, WMV formats. There is no information on its price/availability.

An analyst from Rodman & Renshaw has thrown some light on the processor of the upcoming BB Tablet. The tablet is slated to to surface in Q1 2011 and will likely to be powered by 1GHz Marvell processor. The tablet will be outfitted with 2 cameras, one for FaceTime video-calling and one for taking pictures.

Folks at AnandTech have published a review of the updated Alienware M11x, more popularly known as the Alienware M11x r2.
