A League of their own: Tablets are still not substitutes to laptops
The tablet mania has somehow reached a critical mass in just a few years. Dozens of models, updates and further improvements suggest that these so called tablets will be around for a pretty long time. It seems like a scene from a sci-fi movie from the past hand held screen, touch technology, great battery life. [...]

ViewSonic VPC100 Atom based PC now shipping
A lot of netbook manufactures are coming up with all-in-ones that are based on Atom-platform. ViewSonic too joins this market by unveiling their own all-in-one PC, the VPC100.
Features:
- 18.5-inch screen
- 1366 x 768 pixel display
- N270 Atom processor
- 1GB RAM
- 160GB HDD
- 4 USB ports
What puzzles me: Why did not Viewsonic go for the Dual-Core Atom processor. Putting a processor meant for the netbook in an all-in-one does not make sense!
Albatron Netbook is super thin
The famous computer manufacture Albatron is now working on an Atom netbook. The netbook will come with a 10.2-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution. What makes this netbook different from most of the netbooks out there is that it is very slim.
About its battery life, it comes with a 6-cell 3600mAh battery and 80GB HDD. Why just 80GB? Well, the reason is that it is using 1.8-inch HDD whose maximum capacity so far is 80GB. There is no information available on its price.
