Acer 1830T reviewed

  • Sharebar

Acer recently launched its newly developed Acer Aspire 1830T netbook which packs some immense integrated technology inside. The 1830T comes with 11.6-inch display having 1366×768 pixel resolution and is powered by the Intel Core i5-430M/520M processor. The users can choose the CPU clock frequency which ranges from 1.06GHz and goes upto 1.86GHz.

This 11.6-inch netbook is much pricier than the netbooks out there. Acer retails it for 700 dollars, which is twice as much as a normal netbook, but then we must take into consideration the fact that its CPU and amazing graphics performance make it one of the most powerful ultraportables out there.

Folks at laptopmag have done a review of it and here is the crux of their review:

1. The netbook looks a lot like the Acer AO721

2. Good battery runtime  – nearly 6 hours which is pretty good for a netbook with Core i5 processor

3. Battery does not bulge out from its back

4. Good keyboard. Full speed typing possible

5. Touchpad is a bit too small

6. Much powerful than the Atom-powered netbooks

7. GPU powerful enough for 1080p video playback

Verdict – The Acer Aspire 1830T offers the best combination of portability and power
