Alienware M15 Review, Disassembly and benchmark tests
The year 2018 was a year of gaming laptops and PCs. We saw release of AMD Vega and Nvidia RX 2080. Alienware, definitely does not want to get left behind and has churned out M15. This is the first Alienware laptop with a narrow bezel design and due to that, the overall design is smaller.
Alienware M15 weighs 2.3kg, which makes it 38 percent lighter than the previous generation. Shown below is the nebula red version and it still has that classic A-side dark red design that we have come to love over the past years.
Overall design of the Alienware M15 is still sharp and intimidating. Alienware m15 will make you suspect that this is a 14-inch gaming laptop. Compared to older models, rear air outlet is significantly shorter, which is reminiscent of the old Alienware. The second change is the use of a 6.5mm narrow bezel design on both sides.
The thickest part of Alienware m15 is 17.9mm, which is nearly one-third thinner than the previous generation’s 25.4mm thickness.
Lisa from Mobiletechreview has also reviewed the Alienware M15.
The hardware specifications of this Alienware m15 include an Intel Core i7-8750H, GTX1060, 16GB DDR4, 256GB+256GB dual NVMe SSD (RAID support).

Alienware M15 Review: Disassembly
The left side interface of the laptop includes an RJ45, USB 3.1 and 3.5mm headset interface, the right side interface of the laptop has USB 3.1×2, and the rear interface of the fuselage is the power interface, graphics docking station interface, lightning 3, miniDP 1.2 and HDMI 2.0.
To avoid over heating problems like the Alienware M11x, which was the world’s first gaming laptop with size of netbook, Alienware has equipped it with dual fan system with four copper tubes.
As you can see, the M15 has a large 90Wh battery. It is easily accessible and replaceable. [via nb.zol.com.cn]
