Notion Ink has had its own share of the limelight a few months back. Now, it seems like they are not stopping. The 10 inch Adam Tablet with NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, optional Pixel Qi screen and removable batteries may not be the most brilliant tablet to date. The software for the user interface is quite interesting but it does not really give anything much compared to the standard Android interface. Since day one, owners of the Adam tablet has been rooting them and they have been placing stock Android software instead. Now, there is a new way to customize your Adam Tablet with the help of the CyanogenMod 7 custom Android OS.

cm7The CM7 is based on Android 2.3.3 and the firmware is compatible with Adam’s hardware. One glitch though is that the audio seems not to stream on the HDMI and there are still bugs on the sleep and wake performance of the tablet. The great thing though is that Adam Tablet supports overclocking so you can adjust the speed to up to 1.4 GHz. Hopefully, Notion Ink will be up for another round of orders with better screen resolution. That is one of the major boo boos that users experienced with the Adam tablet.

Here is a demo video of Adam Tablet tweaks:

  1. I have seen a great deal of useful items on your web site about desktops. However, I’ve the viewpoint that notebooks are still not quite powerful adequately to be a good choice if you usually do projects that require a lot of power, for instance video editing. But for web surfing, word processing, and many other common computer functions they are all right, provided you may not mind the tiny screen size. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
