PineTrail’s processor = Cedar Trail – coming to the netbooks near you in 2011
Cedar Trail is going to be the successor to the upcoming Pine-trail range of CPUs. Cedar Trail is destined to make its appearance in the year 2011. Also, Intel will most likely shift to 32nm (from 45nm) process which will make these CPUs even more power efficient.
According to Intel’s Vice President, the main aim is to get more integrated and cheaper platform for Intel partners (OEMs and Manufactures). After Pine Trail-based Atom N450 and N470 (for netbooks), as-well-as D410 and D510 (for nettops), the Cedar Trail processors will bring considerable performance increase compared to the processors that we are using right now.
