Dell mini 9/Dell Vostro A90 converted into a Tablet!
Rob928, a geek at mydellmini has modded his Dell Mini 9 netbook into a Tablet PC. He has used a solderless touchscreen kit to achieve the result. How is the final result? Great, if you ever yearned for a touchscreen (slate) tablet about the size of Dell Mini 9.
However, making it a slate tablet is not a piece of cake. It required stripping off the lid; trimming the hinges. What problems one could face if he/she does this brave mod to his mini 9? Well, Dell Mini 9 vents out a lot of heat through its keyboard. Since the screen is basically upside down now, it blocks the heat from radiating out. As a result of which, it does get a little hot.
Even then, we applaud the efforts of the modder, who has loaded Windows 7 on this baby.
