The Fusion chips from AMD is making some splashes here and there with its promise of decent performance graphics and low power all rolled up into one sweet deal. It aims to provide performance that is better than what regular netbooks could offer. You get those great benefits while still getting prices that are similar to netbooks. What we have seen so far are 4 chips. There is a new one and it is the AMD C-60 it could be available for release very soon. In most facets, the C-60 is quite similar to C-50 but of course, there are some differences. The new chip will use the HD Radeon 6290 instead of 6250 and it will utilize the turbo core innovation.

What the Turbo core offers is increased performance for multiple core machines especially when it is only doing tasks that are using one core only. To make it simpler to everyone, when 1 core is idle, the other one can be overclocked so that it can move faster. This means it is possible to see the new chip could run at around 1.33 GHz. The graphics processor can also be overclocked from 274 to 400 MHz Nonetheless; we are all waiting for latest Intel.
