VideoTutor is an “educational agent” product founded by a 20-year-old serial AI entrepreneur in Silicon Valley. This marks YZi Labs’ first artificial intelligence software investment since expanding its scope earlier this year.

VideoTutor team realizes that in-person tutoring in US costs $60-$90 per hour. This leaves more than 85-percent students without any sort of personalized tuition.

Kai Zhao, Founder & CEO of VideoTutor said, We understand the students’ needs because we’ve lived through the same learning and testing journey ourselves. We know YZi Labs’ mission is to use AI to democratize access to opportunity. From my first conversation with Dr. Jing, I could feel she genuinely cares about that mission — and seeing CZ’s commitment to Giggle Academy, his free education platform, reinforced our confidence.

We received over ten term sheets for this round, but chose YZi Labs as our lead investor because we share the same belief: education should be personalized, affordable, and accessible to all.
