I usually do not want to the one making posts like these but quite a few Gadget Mix brands and portals have popped up online in the past few years. This includes GadgetMix.sg, a phone accessory shop in Singapore and GadgetMix Philippines, which does something similar to Gadget Mix Singapore but in Philippines.
History of Gadget Mix
Gadget Mix was launched back in 2007 by me, Kamal Singh. I was a student back then and used to have a strong liking for mobile device from Palm and HP.
I reviewed the devices and software that ran on PalmOS and Windows Mobile devices. This includes Dinarsoft Memmaid, HandySwitcher 3, O2 Atom Life windows mobile device, SBSH Pocket Breeze, SBSH ContactBreeze, SPB Phone Suit, SPB Time and the very popular app at the time, SPB Pocket Plus.
Gadget Mix as brand name and Trademark
Gadget Mix has been registered and trademarked in India. I never wanted to do this but after the launch of other Gadget Mix portals and shops, the team at Gadget Mix had no idea that the word gadgetmix would be used so many times, that too without permission.
GadgetMix.com is the real Gadget Mix
Since 2007, the website has been showcased on Gizmodo, Engadget, TechMeMe, SlashGear and so on. Our presence has been insane, honestly.
However, as mentioned earlier, so many fake Gadget Mix shops and portals have popped up – it’s unreal and damaging to our brand.
It is shame to see other portals did not bother asking us before using the same name as ours.
But, you’ve heard it here – the OG GadgetMix.com is the real gadget mix.
