Overclock your Motorola Xoom to 1.5GHz
If you want added power to the 1.0 Ghz Dual core processor from the NVIDIA Tegra 2, then you are in luck. Who would have known that you can overclock your android tablet such as Motorola Xoom and add so much more processing power by several notches? Recently, a developer from the SetCPU Android App was able to do so. We all know that Xoom is practically the fastest tablet in the market as of the moment. In the video shown by the developer, you will see how fast and smooth the Xoom is at 1GHz but with the added power, the speed became more intense and snappy, so if you want more power, then this is a great opportunity to tweak your tablet.
The SetCPU app will be released soon but there are some new updates coming up much faster. Some are able to increase the overclock by 50% and that means there is so much more to the technology than meets the eye. Though some do not find it logical since apparently no games would require such powerful speed, it is still fun to see a fast computer and a reliable one. Of course, sooner or later, we might be seeing processors that are much faster than regular laptops and desktops but as of the moment, this is the best one that we have with tablets.
coolbho3000 from xda-developers managed to successfully bring the Tegra 2 in the Xoom to 1.5GHz. Read his step by step instructions on how to do it and watch this video:
