Motorola Xoom upgrade to 4G

  • Sharebar

The new Motorola Xoom is shipping on 3G but you can upgrade the 3G modem to 4G when it comes available. However, you have to send your tablet to Motorola to make the upgrade. Verizon just posted the details as to how it will work. Verizon recommends that you make a back up of your data on a PC or Mac. You should also encrypt your Xoom or create a factory reset so that even if something went wrong with the upgrade process, you have your data safe and secure. Actually, the only thing that you have to do is to safely pack your Xoom and send it using FedEx. You can sign up for email notifications. A little patience goes a long way, and it will be fun to see 4G in motion on the Xoom. If you are a Verizon customer sign up to receive and email when this update becomes available.
