How to change wallpaper in Windows 7 Starter? (ASUS EEE PCs)
One of the most annoying features that Microsoft introduced in the Windows 7 Starter is the inability to change the background wallpaper. Now, there is an easy way on how to do away with that problem. First download system setting utility. Then, change it via system settings in eee docking and you are done!

I just bought a Samsung netbook with windows 7 started, and the download didnt work for me.. any suggestions anyone?? everyone i know who has looked at this computer says they cant possibly find a way to change the background!

this didnt work at all it never opened..,this STUPID window popped up and said” windows cannot complete the extraction. the destination file could not be created.”
this is stupid all you who didnt get it either, theres this other one and it works GREAT, but i had to get a new one and i cant find it right now…i think its called BACKGROUND CHANGER.im not sure just google it and find something called it…. when i find it i will comment again

Too all readers, please make sure that you have an Asus Eee PC with Win 7 Starter before you start complaining that it doesn’t work. The title is very clear.
If it worked on other brands then lucky for you. It would be nice to indicate what brand and model you applied this Asus Program on for the benefit of users of other brands and models.

Thanks, this worked great for me. To those who are saying they cant get it to work once its downloaded make sure your going on the docking eee tools and then click on system settings and it should pop right up so you can change the wallpaper. But thanks again:)
Omggg!!! It actually workedd guyss! I have an asus netbook that comes with windows 7 starter! I got this around easter time and i was sooo mad wen i found out i couldnt change the wallpaper! But trust me! This works people! Ive been trying almost every method to change the wallpaper! I went on almost every website! None worked! Bu now im so happy because i finally get to change my wallpaper!
Ok, for some who might be confused!
Just click the link he has. Download the file! Then extract it! Follow the steps. Etc! Then go on the eee pc dockinh thingy! Click eee tools then go on system setting and then common sense should help you from there! Trust me guysss!! This workss! It worked for mee! Real tlk! :D Thanks dude! *Thumbs up 4 u!*

it didn’t work for me. i followed the the directions in the article, got system settings downloaded, and actually changed my background from the docking settings, however the background doesn’t show up. i still see the same wallpaper as before. any advice on how to get it to let me see my wallpaper?

Thanks a heap mate absolutely great for eee pc users, sucks for others but thats the way it is unfortunately. Wanted to be able to change the wallpaper and also the start bar colour and some system colours too, anyway you know of to do this besides WindowsBlinds?

I have an Asus 1005PEB and cannot get it to work :-<
This feature is even better than my old Windows XP such that I can change the pictures in my folders everyday, which is EXACTLY what I’d hoped for when I first figured out I could change my desktop background.
I’m using an ASUS Eee 1005HA, and it works fantabulous. For those who say they’ve tried everything but the wallpaper doesn’t show up, make sure that you see a check mark on the top left hand corner of the selected picture(s).
