Comparison of Kindle Fire with iPad 2 have been made. Lets us take a quick look at some other tablets like Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ro Blackberry Playbook.

Looking at the chart above Kindle Fire enjoyes high screen resolution of 1024 x 600 found in more pricey Blackberry Playbook. It is just half an ounce heavier than the Playbook. Fire has the smallest built in storage of 8GB, but Amazon throws in unlimited cloud storage. HD enabled video streaming is a great plus given the price point of this Kindle Fire tablet.

No camera is certainly a huge minus of Fire tablet, especially the front facing one often used for video chats. There is no Bluetooth, major lack of apps, and  smaller storage, but Amazon Kindle Fire has an access to Amazon’s enormous library and costs less than half of the ones we are comparing it to. Kindle Fire tablet sells for $199 at Amazon. iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy 10.1, Samsung Galaxy 8.9 or Blackberry Playbook, all start at $499.

Word is Kindle Fire will soon  support Office Docs, making your work portable. Media files can easily be enjoyed on the go as well.
