World’s lightest 14 inch laptop – Fujitsu FMV Zero

Fujistu has just announced FMV Zero, which the company claims to be the world’s lightest 14-inch laptop. Two versions have been launched – WU5/J3 and WU4/J3.

Fujitsu FMV Zero WU5

Fujitsu FMV Zero WU5/J3 uses an Intel Core Ultra 5 125U CPU, while the WU4/J3 is powered by Core Ultra 7 155H CPU. Rest of the specifications remain the same that include 8/16/32/64GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB/2TB SSD and Windows 11 Home/Pro as choice of OS.

Fujitsu FMV Zero review

WU5/J3’s weight is meager 639 grams while the WU4 weighs 888 grams. Imagine using a full fledge 14” laptop that weighs under 650 grams. Fujistu says it was able to thoroughly reduce the weight of innards by shortening the heat pipes and reducing area of the click relay board and its protective sheet. The outer chassis is made of carbon-fiber.

Fujistu claims that both of their ultra-light laptops have been tested to to MIL-STD-810H standards. So, they are not just light but rugged as well.

On the left, there is Kensington lock, 2x USB 3.0 ports, USB-A and headphone jack. On right, you will find micro SD card slot, another USB-A port, full-size HDMI and LAN port.

The only color available is Picto Black, giving it that business look.

It will hit Japanese market shelves in late-October or mid-November 2024. We have no information on its US release.
