MSI WindPad 100
As expected, MSI has launched an Atom powered Windows 7 Slate which is powered by the Atom Z530 1.66GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB SSD and runs Windows 7 Home Premium. The WindPad 100 has a 10.1-inch 1024×600 pixel display and runs a finger-friendly UI over the Windows 7 to make the overall user experience a bit more touch-friendly. Unlike the iPad, it has 2x USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port and a webcam.
Since, it runs Windows 7 Home Premium and NOT Starter edition, it would come with all the touchscreen enhancements which Windows 7 brings to the table. Expected price is around $499, which is at par with the entry-level 16GB Wi-Fi iPad. It is rumored that the WindPad will ship in Q3 2010
