Core i5-powered HP TM2 now available

Slates like iPad have been getting tremendous amount of attention. However, convertible tablets are still yet to take off.  HP, the leader of PC suppliers, wants its TouchSmart TM2 to make a comeback and is now offering it with a new chip – Core i5-430UM that runs at 1.2GHz clock speed and sports a cache memory of 3MB.

TM2 comes equipped with a good 4GB RAM and if that is not enough for you, you can increase it to even more spacious 8GB RAM. Other specs include – 12.1-inch 1280×800 display, 320/500/640GB HDD, DirectX 11-capable discrete card, multicard reader, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Ethernet, webcam and a 6-cell battery.
