Lenovo U310 and U410

Lenovo just released a new line of netbooks S200 and S206. Now, Lenovo is adding two new ultra-thin and light ultrabooks to its range – the IdeaPad U310 and U410. The Lenovo U310 features a 13.3″ screen and is 0.7 inches thick, weighing a pretty heavy (for an ultrabook) 3.7 pounds. The slightly larger Lenovo IdeaPad U410 features a 14″ display, and is thicker and heavier at 0.8 inches thick and 4.2 pounds.

At this stage there are very few specifics of components, except to say that the newcomers will sport Intel Core i-series CPUs and will offer a choice of 64GB SSD or 500GB hard disk, as well as Intel’s WirelessDisplay (‘WiDi’) technology. Significantly, the U410 will feature NVidia GeForce 610M graphics, making it the first ultrabook to offer a dedicated graphics card.

The U310 will settle for Intel HD3000 integrated pixel-processing. The standard ultrabook promise of quick wake from sleep and 8-hour battery life is made by the manufacturers. The Lenovo U310 and U410 aren’t expected to go on sale before May, and should start at $699
