  • Sharebar

Time sure flies in the tech world. We are yet to enjoy the Tegra 2 chips and Nvidia hits us with another blockbuster. NVIDIA is preparing for something new, a Tegra 2.5 update. This new chip is a dual core chip with 1.2GHz and is marketed to be capable of handling 3D on mobile. This was leaked as the T25 silicon and was leaked that it will be manufactured in the first quarter of 2011. There is a great buzz on this aspect in technology that says that 3D is bound to go mobile. For those who are not sure how 3D on mobile will make sense, it is still interesting how much speed and power the T25 can offer a mobile tablet. This summer will surely be quite the shindig for tablet aficionados.

3D technology is a very interesting breakthrough indeed. According to the Roy Taylor of Marter Image, tablets and mobile phones are notorious for shutting your peripheral vision out and that is why 3D technology seems to be very interesting for tablets. For 3D screens, there are the so called shutters. Without these shutter glasses, the human brain will have a hard time coping with the television due to the real environment outside the television. That is why Tegra 2 3D sounds very promising for everyone. It is very promising for those who want to capture a mobile viewing audience, please shareholders and of course, for mobile users to enjoy 3D without leaving their homes or wherever they may be.

3D technologies are spurting rapidly across various markets. Taylor even showed a new Hitachi handset that offers a 3D display. A lot of companies will be quite in a competition when 3D technology comes by at the first half of the year especially brands like Apple, Nintendo with the 3DS. For Nintendo, they are in a more secure position since their market of kids and adults will still find their 3D offering very much attractive for the market. Even for medical experts, 3D viewing on mobile will send in patients since for you to access the 3D content, you need a good viewing angle to enjoy the visuals.

One of the front runners in the mainstream 3D technology is Nintendo 3DS which will arrive around March. Some say that this 3D technological boom will hurt Apple’s offerings. Such technological breakthroughs are incredibly amazing for one to spend a thousand dollars on an Apple product that does not offer the said 3D capacity. The Tegra 2 3D offers immense possibilities for the mobile gaming and Intel Atom will be suffering here since they do not have the graphic performance and power.

We will still wait whether this new technology really takes off. The wait is quit short already and soon enough, we will be seeing some pretty unique things that might even be popping on a mobile phone or tablet in the future. Right now, it is best to keep posted with this new level of mobile experience.
