BPhone MID runs Linux
Want a nice stylish Linux machine with a swivel screen that does not costs $1000+? Then, you shall give a glance to the BPhone. From China, this baby features a 5-inch WVGA display, QWERTY keyboard and Marvell PXA310 624MHz processor. Oh, and it is an unlocked phone too. The BPhone costs $570.
That keyboard does not look comfortable, does it?
Pandora finally in Production!
We are sure that the folks that love to do some gaming-on-the-go have waited for a long time for this. For those who don’t know about Pandora, it is a portable gaming console that runs Ångström Linux; sports a 4.3-inch WVGA display and is powered by ARM Cortex A8 CPU. It comes with 512MB of storage, two, yeah, two SD slots, TV output jack, USB OTG and a USB host.
Battery life is phenomenal – 10 hours! If you want one, you gotta be quick as only 4000 units are being made right now
ITG xpPhone now comes with Windows 7 and bigger display
ITG’s xpPhone, that is currently available with 4.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, AMD processor and Windows XP can now be configured with 7-inch display, 5MP camera and Windows 7. Its price and release information will be available in a day or two.
According to its manufacture, ITG, the keyboard on it has been so nicely that touch typing speed on xpPhone can reach up to 90% of that on a desktop computer

Adesun AD-708 VIA-based tablet from Shenzhen runs Windows XP
New 7-inch tablet AD-708 by Adesun manufacturer from Shenzhen is based on VIA’s x86 architecture and can run Windows XP, It is also being offered with Windows Vista and Linux as OS. It measures 200×121.5×35mm and is available in two versions: basic and delux version. The basic versions has 512MB memory, 8GB SSD and a 3200mAh battery, while the delux version has 16GB SSD,1GB memory, 6400mAh battery, 2GB SD card, and built-in GPS receiver.
The rest of the specs are common like both are powered by a same VIA C7M processor (that runs @ 1.2GHz), G-sensor, an 7-inch 800×480 WVGA touchscreen display, Wi-Fi b/g connectivity, 2 USB 2.0 ports, Bluetooth, VGA port and SD card reader. The basic version is for about $293, whereas the delux version for about $441 USD.
MID-560 Android MID
Meet the MID 560 MID, which runs Android OS. It runs on a Samsung 6410 processor that runs a clock speed of 533MHz. It has a WVGA 5-inch touchscreen and built in mobile TV, GPS and a browser that is based on Google Chrome Lite browser. It has other basic apps like Google Talk, google mail, push gmail and basic RSS and email apps as well.
It also functions as a PMP. It supports MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG and many other audio formats. For videos, you get support for H.264-WVGA, H.263-WVGA, DivX4/5-WVGA and Xvid.
ASUS Eee Keyboard to finally coming to Europe in October – Retail price 499 Euros = Too Expensive for an Atom-powered device!
After delaying it so many times, ASUS Eee Keyboard will finally ship to Europe at the end of October for 499 Euros. The unique ASUS Eee Keyboard is essentially a netbook wrapped and packed into a keyboard chassis and with a small WVGA touchscreen display. It comes with an Atom N270 Processor, VGA and HDMI out. For storage, you get a tiny 16GB SSD.
It also has3 USB 2.0 ports, WiFi and Bluetooth and it runs Windows XP Home. Its dimension are 145 x 425 x 24.4 mm and weighs 1.1 kg. ASUS claims that it would be able to give you nearly 4 hours of battery life which is commendable considering how tiny this thing is! The keyboard has backlight and you will have no problems working on it in the dark.
The only thing not to like about the EEE keyboard is the fact that it costs way too much for an Atom-powered device. If the ASUS can bring the price down to something like 399 Euros, it will make it very tempting for the normal consumer.
iUnika GYY – Low-cost solar powered netbook
Netbooks going eco-friendly! That is something we do not hear everyday. Do we? iUnika has launched a netbook that is powered by solar energy, the iUnika GYY. The netbooks weighs just 700gm and runs some proprietary version of linux on its 400MHz processor.
It comes with a WVGA (800 x 480) 8-inch display. It uses 64GB SSD for storing your data and comes with meager 128MB RAM. 128MB RAM may seem low, but since it running not a bulky OS, we are not complaining. Cost? Just 160-euros and hitting the shelves in the month of June.
No need to carry portable chargers! Charge on the go, thanks to the wonderful sunlight!
HTC TOUCH HD as a Mobile Internet Device (MID)- Review
This time we are going to review it from a different perspective – AS A MOBILE INTERNET DEVICE. If you have been following the windows mobile scene from the past couple of years, you must have observed that the display size of the mobile phones has decreased in size over the years. Whether we all like it or not, but it was the iPhone that brought the big screen to attention to the mobile phone manufactures.
ASUS Eee Videophone – Another EEE accersory
Since the launch of the first EEE PC, the ASUS has been paying special attention to their EEE product line. They started off with just the EEE PCs and gradually added more products under the EEE brand. Their recent addition is the EEE Videophone, which claims to be the “World’s First PC-free Videophone for Skype”. It comes with a large 7-inch display and a rather shabby 0.3MP camera. The display resolution is WVGA (800×480)
It comes with built in wifi to effortlessly connect it to the skype and do video calling. For the folks who do not have wifi at home, they can use the not-so-sleek Ethernet connection to get online. It comes with a rechargeable battery. Weighing at 1.6kg, it just offers 20mins talk time and a rather long 2 hour charging time. You better use it on power adapter as you are not going to be able to do a lot of talking if you are not on AC adapter.
