Acer F1 coming in September. Are you ready iPhone?
After HTC and Toshiba, Acer F1 is going to be the third windows mobile phone to sport a Snapdragon processor. The F1 will come with Windows Mobile 6.5 and 1GHz Snapdragon processor. However, for some reason, the Acer will only allow to run at 800MHz and not 1GHz. The most obvious reason right now seems to be battery life. The Acer F1 will also come with ATi graphics card and Acer’s own flash-based today screen shell.
We have a lot of hopes on the Acer F1. If the Acer uses their excellent sales channels and aggressive advertisement scheme (the way they did for their Aspire One), it is surely going to be a huge hit.
Price: €560 (about $758).

HP shows its commitment to Windows Mobile
Although you are not going to see the first Windows Mobile 6.5 devices from HP any soon, but HP has made it clear that it has always supported Windows Mobile and will continue to support it in the future too.
“HP continues to work toward developing smartphones that simplify the mobile experience and meet evolving customer needs,” said Susan Macke, vice president, Marketing, Handheld Global Business Unit, Personal Systems Group, HP. “Working closely with key partners such as Microsoft allows for smooth integration of new technologies for the best possible customer experience.”
Lately, the HP’s Windows Mobile devices have failed to create any noticeable splash. On one hand, where we have been hearing about HTC releasing new devices one after another, this has not been the case with HP. Let’s hope, they come up with something more exciting in the future.

Windows Mobile 6.5 is for real – (unofficially) already running on HTC Blue Angel [Windows Mobile]
This is for the those who said that Windows Mobile 6.5 would not fill the space between Windows Mobile 6.1 and Windows Mobile 7. Microsoft is in fact in the works of releasing Windows Mobile 6.5 to the OEMs and manufactures. Few enhancements that the Windows Mobile 6.5 brings over the previous versions of Windows [...]
