The X10 MID boasts 1080p video playback and some kind of shell that does a pretty good job in covering the boring interface of Windows CE.  Another reason why this MID attracted a lot of people was due to its affordable 180 dollar price tag.

Cowon V5W runs Windows CE 6.0

Cowon has rolled-out a new PMP called V5W that runs Windows CE 6.0 operating system and supports full HD out-of-box. Outfitted with a nice 4.8-inch WVGA display, it replaces the boring CE 6.0′s UI with a lively UI of its own. It is a PMP, but can also comes with an Office suit to make sure that you chew spreadsheets and doc files even during your lunch. It will be available in the capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, expandable via SDHC slot.

Other nifty utilities include eReader app; pile of dictionaries, web-browser, email, weather app.

Roverpad launches 5 tablets

Rover Computers, Russia, has launched clot of tablets. First is the Air G70 that runs Windows CE 6.0 OS, powered by a 667MHz Samsung processor. You get a 7-inch resistive display with 4GB for storage, expandable via microSD card slot. Second is the Go G50, an Android-powered 5-inch slate that relies on a Marvell PXA303, 128MB of RAM, 2GB of storage as well as 3G, WiFi, a microSD slot and a USB socket. Then, we have the small Air G70 with its 4-inch display which has support for myriad of file formats and support for navigation software.

For those yearning for a bit more power can go for the Nvidia Tegra-powered TegA W70, which has 7-inch capacitive display panel and runs Android 2.1 OS. It also has HDMI out, webcam and 3G radio. More are in the tunnel and will be available in the Russian market in the month of October with the prices starting at 320 dollars.

Witstech has released a dual-booting MID that runs both Android OS and Windows CE 6.0. Powered by the capable ARM Cortex A8 processor, the Chi A81-E comes with a 800×480 pixel display, WiFi b/g and 3000mAh battery. Unlike most Chinese MIDs, it runs Android 2.1 OS and has hardware support for MPEG2, MPEG4 and H.264 formats. The display size is not specified, but we are expecting it to be 4.8-inches

Viliv P3 Prime MID runs Android and Windows CE

Viliv has released a new PMP in the market – Viliv P3 Prime. This is the first dual-booting MID from the Korea-based manufacture. The Viliv P3 has a 3.7-inch AMOLED WVGA display (800×480), Wi-Fi, FM radio, DMB, micro-SD slot, upto 32GB internal storage and offers 720p video playback. It also supports bucketful of supported media formats so that one can effectively use it as a PMP

Price still remains a mystery.

Meet the X10 MID which costs just $180 and promises to playback 1080p videos. It runs Windows CE 6.0 and also comes outfitted with an HDMI port. Under its bonnet, you will find a ARM 11 processor, 256MB RAM and a Garfunkel 2GB flash storage. Fear not as its meager internal memory can easily be expanded by its microSD slot. For connectivity, you get built-in Wireless LAN and GPS. Not a bad package at all for $180.

Hanvon, a Chinese eReader manufacture has just released its first 3G eReader. It sports a 5-inch grayscale display, 800×600 pixel resolution, 512MB RAM, 1x USB port, 1400mAh battery and a integrated front-facing hardware keyboard.

Since it is an eReader, it supports most of the common formats that one can use for reading – TXT, HTXT, HTML, PDF, DOC and also has built-in support for images and music playback. Pricing information is not available at this moment.

NEC N-08B MID runs Windows CE

NEC has launched a new Nokia E90 style Windows CE-based device for the Japan’s NTT DoCoMo – the N-08B. The NEC N-08B is equipped with a wide 4.6-inch display and a QWERTY keyboard which looks pretty good for typing with two-fingers. It weighs in 300gm which is pretty heavy for a phone.

What makes it different from rest of the phones out there is its trackpoint present on its spacebar which looks similar to one found in Sony Vaio P.

NEC claims about 1000 minutes of standby time or 350 minutes of talk time.

Other specifications include a 854×480 pixel display, microSDHC slot, 3.1MP camera, Wi-Fi, 3G and Windows CE OS.

Hongrun MID700 runs Windows CE

Hongrun Electronic is all set to introduce its new MID in the market, the MID700. This MID runs Windows CE6.0 and is powered by the Telechips TCC8901 chipset. It has a 7-inch resistive display with WVGA resolution, 2GB flash storage and 2GB RAM, On its left side, you will find a USB 2.0 port, a mini-USB port and an HDMI port to let you watch the HD videos on the big HDTV.

It will retail at $145

Hanvon has released pictures of their upcoming MID which also functions as an eReader. This MID has Marvell PXA310 800MHz CPU, 128MB RAM and runs Windows CE 6.0 OS. It has a 6-inch 800×600 pixel display and can display 16-levels of gray, which means you can ‘enjoy’ web-browsing in grayscale. Reminds me of the grayscale Palm PDAs of the nineties!

Other specs – mini USB 2.0 port, Wi-Fi radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, 2GB flash (expandable via micro SD). There is no information on its price. In the mean time, take a look at this hot MID!
