HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition
The spring season is right around the corner and HP has officially launched its unique looking Mini 210 Vivienne Tam edition. It sports the same specs as non-Vivienne Tam edition – comes with a pathetic 3-cell battery, uncomfortable and small touchpad that is awkward to use. Also absent is the Broadcom’s HD chip which makes us think that only stupid fashion-conscious people would have the guts to spend $600 on such a weak netbook
"As a fashion designer I have always found inspiration in bringing contrasting worlds together," said Tam. "I use computers in every aspect of my life so it seemed natural to marry fashion and technology. Together with HP, we created this movement of fashionable tech accessories with the second-edition digital clutch."

HP new designer Mini 110 Netbook- Another girly netbook!
Why HP why? Instead of concentrating their current netbook lineup, all HP is doing these days is unveiling designer netbooks. After taking rolling out its second Vivienne Tam designer netbook (HP Mini 110), here is another Mini 110 designer netbook, this time by Tord Boontje.
It’s quite feministic. Starting at $399, it is lower than the Vivienne Tam designer netbook.

New “Butterfly” HP Vivinee Tam unveiled – looks much better than the previous one!
HP has finally unveiled their updated Vivienne Tam netbook. This time, they are inspired by the butterflies. Why butterflies? According to HP, it dignifies “freedom and love”. We do not know from they get such weird thoughts, but the new one surely looks much better than the last one which was retina-burning (see our last post about it).
“The new digital clutch design embodies the inspiration for my entire spring collection,” said Tam. “When women around the globe carry HP’s digital clutch and wear my clothes, I want them to feel independent and free, like butterflies.” ‘StyleCaster’ virtual experience
You will have to wait for long to get it: Spring 2010.
Note: It is basically a Mini 110 in a pretty casing
A new HP Vivienne Tam netbook in the tunnel
According to the latest news bits,Vivienne Tam and HP are working on a new Vivienne Tam netbook. All that is known till now is that HP will unveil their overpriced netbook with a retina-burning color sometime during New York Fashion week. All we know is the fact that HP was not able to sell many of these last time, but they surely were able to get a lot of media attention over it.

HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition netbook cloned
The HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition netbook, one of the most expensive netbooks on the market when it was launched late last year costed somewhere around $700. HP had a simple reason for such high price:Red color and floral pattern on the lid of designer Vivienne Tam.
Although HP is no longer selling the Mini 1000 and the Vivienne Tam Edition, but you can get a cheap clone of it that is made by Qifang Electronics. The main differences lies in a 2.5 inch hard drive instead of a 1.8 inch HDD, and the clone costs about $300, or less than half the MSRP of the original.

HP Mini Vivienne Tam discontinued
HP has removed the HP mini Vivienne Tam edition from their website. Looks like HP was not able to sell a lot of Vivienne Tam units despite its huge publicity which included fashion shows.
The Vivienne edition was actually just a Mini 1000 with some fancy art all over the body.
