Guess who is going to join the Verizon's netbook range? The very tiny SONY VAIO P!The specs have not undergone huge change except for the fact that it now comes with a much bigger 160GB HDD and wireless broadband module (which is absent in some International models). Other specs: 2GB RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium and that 8-inch screen with super high resolution (1600x768)Price: $299.99 with a 2 year contract. Sounds a bit expensive. Yes, but then it is SONY.Currently, Gateway LT2016U, HP Mini 311 and HP Mini 110 are being offered by Verizon and we are sure that SONY VAIO P (review) will attract a lof of people due to small size and light weight.

Gateway LT2016U will be released soon on the Verizon network. This upcoming Verizon netbook comes with an 10-1-inches screen, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, webcam and Windows XP Home. Verizon Wireless Netbook reviewed – HP Mini 1151NR

Folks at infosync have done a review of the recently released, HP Mini 1151NR. This is the same netbook, which was last week released by Verizon Wireless. The netbook has very impressive looks. Also, the since it has a pretty wide keyboard, it is a joy to type onto it. Verizon Wireless was also smart to add a Qualcomm Gobi chipset, which lets the netbook work on Verizon's fast EV-DO Rev.Skype performed without any problems and did not show any sluggishness in the tests. Well, there are not going to be many problems especially, if you are on a XP machine. Had they gone for Vista, I am sure we would have heard a lot of complains from the users about its 'poor performance'.The only minus point to me is its resolution, which is 576 pixels in height. This can lead to problems like dialog boxes not being able to fully fit inside the screen. This is the same problem that I used to face on my old EEE 701, which had just 480 pixels in height. Some users will also complain about the position of the left and right click buttons. These buttons are on the sides of the trackpad instead of being at its bottom. Battery life is also nothing to talk home about: somewhere between 2-3 hours.Overall: An average netbook

Verizon to launch HP mini 1000 netbook

Verizon will soon be debuting the famous HP mini 1000 on the May 17, 2009. According to BJR, it will cost you $199 with a two-year contract. This may sound like a lucrative deal, but you will be paying nearly $60/month. Instead, buy a netbook without a contract and if you love Verizon a lot, you can always get yourself a USB dongle to use with your netbook. There are also several netbooks in the market which even come with a built-in 3G slot.

There were several rumors about the Verizon Wireless Netbook, but now it is confirmed that it would be the HP Mini 1000. This device was listed that will be released via Verizon's data service package. There is currently no information about its price, but it looks like it would be $99/month to compete with the Aspire One netbook plan by AT&T.
