Bad News for UK visitors: No HP Mini 2140 HD for UK
HP Mini 2140 is a great netbook, but suffers from low (vertical) resolution problem. A lot of times, dialog boxes of XP are not able to fit as there are only 576 pixels vertically. To address this problem, HP announced HD version of the 2140 which would come with much higher resolution, 1366 x 768. Although, HP plans to launch it in most of the countries, it won’t be launched in UK.
Fortunately, there are a lot of options for the netbooks buyers. If you plan to do only web-surfing and some office work, then I will recommend you to give a try to Acer Aspire 751H, which comes with an 11.6-inch display and fantastic resolution of 1366 x 768. You can read its review here
