What is the difference between Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10 and Ubuntu 9.10 Desktop (Standard) Edition?
Ubuntu 9.10 was released on Oct 27, 2009 and was greeted very nicely by the Linux fans all around the globe. Just like Ubuntu introduced NBR (Netbook Remix) edition with the 9.04 version, a special NBR version based on 9.10 released was also unveiled. But what is the difference between them?
Well, they both are same except for the fact that the NBR comes with a Netbook Remix launcher. This launcher just takes away your start menu and gives you an easy-to-use interface where you are presented with a grid of icons. Also, tabs of running apps appear on the top bar itself instead of utilizing space on the bottombar. In fact, there is no bottom bar at all! This gives you even more free vertical pixels in your apps.
Driver support is same in both versions
