Although the Mini 5101 comes with same basic specs, but it comes nicely dressed in aluminum and magnesium coating, which adds a bit of class to it. Also, it is nice to see that left and right click buttons are now placed below the trackpad. It comes with a 7200 RPM HDD, Bluetooth 2.0, 2 megapixel webcam and a 10.1 inch LED screen. You have the option to choose between non-HD (1024 x 600) and HD (1366 x 768) resolution. You can even opt for a SSD (128GB), otherwise it comes with a 80GB HDD. It will be available in July with a price tag of $449.It looks like HP designers took a lot of inspiration from the VAIO TZ design and the end product is pretty sharp-looking. Also, I have always been huge fan of keyboards of HP netbooks and this is no different. I absolutely adore that large right shift key!

Verizon Wireless Netbook reviewed – HP Mini 1151NR

NetBook

battery life

dialog boxes

eee 701

gobi

hp

hp mini

hp mini 1000 review

HP Mini 1151NR

hp mini review

keyboard

poor performance

qualcomm

review

trackpad

verizon

verizon netbook

verizon netbook review

verizon wireless

Folks at infosync have done a review of the recently released, HP Mini 1151NR. This is the same netbook, which was last week released by Verizon Wireless. The netbook has very impressive looks. Also, the since it has a pretty wide keyboard, it is a joy to type onto it. Verizon Wireless was also smart to add a Qualcomm Gobi chipset, which lets the netbook work on Verizon's fast EV-DO Rev.Skype performed without any problems and did not show any sluggishness in the tests. Well, there are not going to be many problems especially, if you are on a XP machine. Had they gone for Vista, I am sure we would have heard a lot of complains from the users about its 'poor performance'.The only minus point to me is its resolution, which is 576 pixels in height. This can lead to problems like dialog boxes not being able to fully fit inside the screen. This is the same problem that I used to face on my old EEE 701, which had just 480 pixels in height. Some users will also complain about the position of the left and right click buttons. These buttons are on the sides of the trackpad instead of being at its bottom. Battery life is also nothing to talk home about: somewhere between 2-3 hours.Overall: An average netbook

Sharp PC-NJ70A Netbook is different from other netbooks – Features LCD in its Trackpad!

NetBook

battery life

couple of days

dvd drives

economic times

gimmick

machine

mobile intel

new details

peerformance

ram max

resolution

running programs

Sharp

sharp mebius

Sharp PC-NJ70A

Sharp PC-NJ70A Netbook

squint your eyes

trackpad

windows xp drivers

Yen

Remember the Sharp Mebius netbook that we mentioned a couple of days back? Well, some new details have emerge about it, something that makes it very different from the other netbooks in the market. It features an LCD trackpad.About the TrackpadContrary to what you must be thinking about its utility, it features multi-touch too. Looks like engineers at Sharp took some thoughts from the Apple's book. The resolution of the trackpad is really notable: 854 x 480. That is more than the one found on the early EEEs! (700 series). The brightness is automatically adjusted. The LCD on the trackpad can also be used as a second LCD and its resolution is not too bad for running programs. However, you will to squint your eyes to read the text.Read more!
