Today, BenQ unmasked its nReader series ebook reader in Taiwan. The NReader K60 eBook Reader measures 175mm x 122mm x 11mm and has a 6-inch display with 800×600 resolution. It has e-paper touchscreen and even packs in WiFi, 2 USB 2.0 ports and optional 3.5G radio.You get 2GB for storage and MicroSD card slot, if you wish to expand the storage capacity. It has a 1530mAh battery. This ebook will let users to read (ofcourse), bookmark and buy copies through 3G or Wi-Fi connectivity. Users can choose from more than one million books including Chinese, Japanese and English books. NReader K60 to be launched in January 2010.

Daewoo has launched a new tablet netbook, C902. It comes with an 8.9-inch touchscreen which can be used as a tablet. It comes with an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 60GB HDD and a webcam. Although Windows XP Home is the choice of OS in netbooks, but we expected XP tablet to be installed in it.There is no information about its price and availability.Specifications :-

Although Vista comes with superb tablet PC apps, but N270 processor is certainly not the best choice for running Vista, but XP tablet should have been there instead of XP Home (at least as an option)

Gigabyte T1028M – ready to rumble with ASUS EEE T91!

Everybody is talking about the just released EEE T91, but there is little to almost no buzz about the Gigabyte T1028, which is quite similar to ASUS EEE T91, atleast on paper. Both of them come with an Intel Atom processor; 1GB RAM and come pre-loaded with Windows XP Home. The only difference is the screen size: Gigabyte T1028 has a 10.1-inch display whereas the EEE T91 comes with 8.9-inch display.Specs of T1028:-

There is some (exciting) news about the recently unveiled ASUS EEE T91: It supports multi-touch! EEE-PC.de (german) were able to get their hands on the ASUS EEE T91, which was running Windows 7. They confirmed that it was able to recognize multi-touch. See the following video, which clearly shows that EEE T91 supports multi-touch

President of Acer (JT Wang) himself has confirmed that the Acer has been working on touchscreen netbooks, which will be made available by the end of this year. The EEE T101 is NOT going to left alone in competition of touch screen netbooks/tablets. I hope they make them with swivel display so that they can be used as tablets
