Toshiba DynaBook MX review – MX/33 and MX/43

Toshiba DynaBook MX review – MX/33 and MX/43

Toshiba DynaBook MX is a CULV netbook from Toshiba that is available in two variants: MX/33 and MX/43.

The MX/33 has an 11.6-inch screen and MX/43 has a 13.3-inch screen. Both have 1366×768 resolution. There is a nice texture on the lid of the netbook as-well-as on the palm rest area and touchpad. Weighing around 1.58kg, MX-33 is certainly not the lightest netbook out there, but it is not that heavy as it has a 11.6-inch display. MX-43, on the other hand, weighs 1.76kg, but then it has a bigger display than the former too.

Toshiba Satellite T135 and Toshiba Satellite R115 – New CULV notebooks launched by Toshiba

Toshiba Satellite T135 and Toshiba Satellite R115 – New CULV notebooks launched by Toshiba

Lots of netbook manufactures are churning out CULV-based notebooks and Toshiba is yet another manufacture who now joins the CULV notebook craze.

Toshiba T135, a 13-incher is based on the Intel Atom SU2700 (dual-core SU4100 optional); can have up to 8GB RAM and 250GB HDD (+eSATA port). It weighs 1.75kg and is just under an inch thick! Its 6-cell battery can give you upto 7 hours of run time, which is quite impressive. It is priced reasonably at $599 for the base configuration model.

Another CULV model launched by Toshiba is the R115, which is an 11.6-incher. It is thin-and-light (weighs 1.58kg) and has Intel SU4100 ULV processor. You also have the choice to opt for the cheaper Celeron 743. It is spec-ed nearly like the T135 model: offering 250GB of storage, eSATA and HDMI. Prices start at $449.

Both models are expected to launch in October.
