ASUS was earlier planning to unveil a T91 with Windows 7 which would harness the Windows 7's touch support. Now, although Windows 7 will be launching in coming September, but we won't be seeing an affordable tablet running Windows 7. The obvious reason that comes to our mind is the sad fact that T91s are not selling that well. Small screen, lack of multitouch (on current model) and cramped keyboard are few reasons behind T91's failure.Learn more about T91 tablet from our Netbook Database!

Eee PC T91 to be made available in THREE VERSIONS

NetBook

news

16gb sd card

asus eee t91

atom

Bluetooth

Connectivity

eee t91

gps module

maximum storage

megapixel

os windows

polymer

processor intel

ssd

t91

touch interface

windows xp home

The soon-to-be-released Asus EEE T91 will be made available in 3 versions. After using internal battery in ASUS EEE 1008HA, ASUS has decided to do the same in EEE T91 tablet.Removable battery makes so many things simple for the end-user like:

He need not go for the expensive official battery after the battery worns off after an year or so

He won't have to go to service center just to get the battery replaced

He cannot carry extra-batteries for those long trips

He can use extended batteries

Commentary: Naturally, a lot of people, who were very interested in the T91 have become very annoyed due to fact that T91 does not comes with a removable battery. Not a lot of people wish to spend $150+ on a battery alone. Most of the third party batteries are sold under $60, which are well in-reach of a normal consumer. ASUS needs to understand that fact soon, otherwise they will loose a lot of potential customers.

ASUS total netbook line to be slashed to just 3 netbooks

NetBook

asus

asus eee

ASUS EEE 1005HA

ASUS EEE 1008HA

battery

battery life

demise

eee

EEEs

hdd

line

lineup

models

netbooks

reghardware

t91

Third

tough job

usb

usb port

use

week

windows

windows xp

world

ASUS has pretty odd down plans coming up for the next few months as they are planning to reduce the total lineup of the ASUS EEE PCs to just THREE MODELS. At first, we saw them rolling out an EEE every week or so and now they are slashing down all of their popular EEEs (including the EEE 1000HE which is selling so well!).
