ASUS has just posted an excellent video on their YouTube channel, which shows all the customizations that the ASUS has done to the T91 to make everything more finger-friendly and user-friendly. Here is the video:

ASUS to cancel T91 MutiTouch Netbook – Why ASUS why?
According to EeeUser.com, ASUS could be planning to cancel the release of multitouch version of EEE T91 touchscreen netbook. ASUS was earlier planning to unveil a T91 with Windows 7 which would harness the Windows 7′s touch support.
Now, although Windows 7 will be launching in coming September, but we won’t be seeing an affordable tablet running Windows 7. The obvious reason that comes to our mind is the sad fact that T91s are not selling that well. Small screen, lack of multitouch (on current model) and cramped keyboard are few reasons behind T91′s failure.

Gigabyte T1028M – ready to rumble with ASUS EEE T91!

Asus EEE T91 supports Multi-Touch, but with Windows 7 only!
There is some (exciting) news about the recently unveiled ASUS EEE T91: It supports multi-touch! EEE-PC.de (german) were able to get their hands on the ASUS EEE T91, which was running Windows 7. They confirmed that it was able to recognize multi-touch. See the following video, which clearly shows that EEE T91 supports multi-touch

ASUS EEE T91 has a non-replaceable battery – Why ASUS, why?
The term “Non-removable battery” is quite often used in case of Apple products, but looks like ASUS has started following their path too. After using internal battery in ASUS EEE 1008HA, ASUS has decided to do the same in EEE T91 tablet.
Removable battery makes so many things simple for the end-user like:
- He need not go for the expensive official battery after the battery worns off after an year or so
- He won’t have to go to service center just to get the battery replaced
- He cannot carry extra-batteries for those long trips
- He can use extended batteries
Commentary: Naturally, a lot of people, who were very interested in the T91 have become very annoyed due to fact that T91 does not comes with a removable battery. Not a lot of people wish to spend $150+ on a battery alone. Most of the third party batteries are sold under $60, which are well in-reach of a normal consumer. ASUS needs to understand that fact soon, otherwise they will loose a lot of potential customers.
ASUS total netbook line to be slashed to just 3 netbooks
ASUS has pretty odd down plans coming up for the next few months as they are planning to reduce the total lineup of the ASUS EEE PCs to just THREE MODELS. All will be running Windows XP and will come equipped with 160GB HDD. Which three are they going to be? It was not a job figuring out the models though. First is the just released EEE 1008HA followed by 1005HA, which is basically same as 1008HA but with removable battery and an extra USB port. Third will be their first netbook-cum-tablet, the T91.

This actually marks the demise of the EEE 1000HE and other models like EEE 1002H. What is ASUS thinking? At first, we saw them rolling out an EEE every week or so and now they are slashing down all of their popular EEEs (including the EEE 1000HE which is selling so well!). EEE 1000HE is one of the netbooks in the world, which can give you 7+ hours of battery life in real world use. This is sad, really sad.
ASUS Eee PC T91 launch date for UK revealed

Here is a youtube video showing its features:

EEE PC T91 for just $549! – ASUS to redefine the price range of Tablets?
Looks like ASUS is really going to make the tablets finally popular among the consumers. Let’s face it, tablets have always been confined to the executives and businessmen. The main reason that the tablets were not received nicely in the consumer market was due to high ‘price’. But, with the $549 price tag, ASUS has hit the sweet spot between functionality and price.
Also, we have heard that ASUS has added few really exciting utilities that are very finger friendly. This is already looking like a winner to me.
