Perhaps one of the most anticipated tablet PCs in the horizon is the Motorola Xoom. It is going to be running on Android 3.0 or codename Honeycomb and is set to go head to head with other tablet devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab, LG Optimus Pad and Apple iPad when it comes out. [...]

Chromium OS to debut in fall
Well, the wait almost over for the Chromium OS as the operating system from Google will be released for free coming autumn. Currently, Google is working diligently, literally day-and-night with the OEMs for a hardware launch as well. A lot of us, eager-beavers actually see the Chrome OS as Google’s answer to the Apple iPad. Netbook giant, Asus has already shown its love for the Chrome OS and there are chances of Chrome OS tablet in the works as well.
Google is expecting a lot from their OS, expecting it to reach a million users on the first day itself. That is bold claim, if you ask us. No worries, fall is right around the corner. We will see.

Asus Eee Pad coming in July
Asus’ chairman, Jerry Sheh has announced that the company will be bringing its much-anticipated Eee Pad in the month of July. Also, Asus will be showing-off its Pad at the Computex 2010 (June 1-5).
For some grotesque reason, Asus says that Eee Pad will be competing with Apple iPad and they stressed on the fact that the Eee Pad sports features not found on the iPad such as USB port, webcam and Flash. The Eee Pad is slated to be priced somewhere between $480-510 after bundling with cellular network telecom services.
Commentary – Flash on ARM-based devices has never ran like a duck soup and story will be no different for the Eee Pad. Even after months and months of waiting, the Eee Pad is yet to hit the market.

Come on Asus – Windows XP In 2010?
Google Chrome Operating System coming this week!
Google Chrome will be able to download since next week, atleast this what TechCrunch has heard from a ‘reliable’ source. The main problem is going to be with the drivers. Google has left it on the manufactures to develop the drivers for their netbooks/smartbooks themselves. With ASUS postponing release of their Chrome OS netbooks and Acer now with Android OS with the release of their first Android netbooks based on the D250 model, this leaves us to count on HP, DELL and MSI.
We do not see SONY adopting Google Chrome OS as they already have their instant-on OS that comes on the VAIO P. Also, SONY has always been a bit reluctant in releasing a notebook that runs non-Windows OS
