Kaifu Lee, who is the ex-president of Google China and most importantly has worked for Apple before has unveiled some interesting facts about the Apple Tablet. On sina.com.cn, a microblog, he said that Apple Tablet looks like a bigger iPhone that sports an awesome UI packed in a beautiful 10.1-inch screen. The tablet combines the functions of both netbook and kindle, an ebook reader. It has virtual keyboard for text entry and a webcam for video conferencing.
Apple is planning to produce 10 million units in the first year. Lee has a good connection with Foxconn which is manufacturing Apple’s Tablet. So, whatever he said is quite believable
There are two main differences between EEE 1000H and EEE 1000HE: chiclet style keyboard on the EEE 1000HE and bigger battery. Some great folks at eeeuser have been to swap the EEE 1000H keyboard with the chicklet keyboard of the EEE 1000HE.
Best part is that everything works, including the extra ‘fn’ key.
Another proof of how popular the netbooks are – Total sales to reach 37% of total notebooks sales in 2009!
Nobody had thought 2 years back that the netbooks would become so popular. Last year, the netbooks had already conquered 20% of the total notebook market. This year, it is being estimated that netbooks will account for nearly 37% of the total notebook sales by the end of this year and about 40% by the year 2012(!).
However, by 2012, I don’t think there would be any difference based on the feature set between a notebook and netbook (except for the small size, of course).
