ASUS Disney Netpal for sale now at Toys R US at 349 dollars

Remember the Disney Netpal netbook that we mentioned a couple of months back? Well, you can now buy your kid the ‘Disney Netpal’ netbook (made by ASUS) from the US store Toys “R” Us. Although from inside it is just like any other netbook in the market, a lot of parents will be interested in gifting it to their little ones. Available in two cool colors: blue and pink, this kid friendly netbook comes installed with powerful parental control system combined with a Disney wallpapers and themes, which small children should really appreciate.

It is being retailed at $349.99. Here is a quick glance at its specs:

Disney netbook (Netpal) AKA ASUS EEE MK90 now available for preorder

The Eee PC MK90, more popularly known as Disney netbook or Netpal is now available for preorder at Toys R’ US. Here are its specifications at a glance:

• 8.9-inch screen
• Intel Atom N270 CPU
• 1GB RAM
• 16GB SSD
• WiFi
• 3 USB ports
• 0.3 MP webcam

The Eee PC MK90 Netpal will be available for $349.99 and shipping will start on August 3. ASUS will include a ‘kid-friendly’ interface on top of Windows-XP including some themes built around Mickey Mouse, Cars, Toy Story, Wall-E etc. Also, since it is meant for small children and they will be stepping into the big-bad world of Internet, parental controls are very much needed in order to stop your child from viewing “you-know-what”. In addition to that, the kids can only correspond via email to those people which are approved by the parents.

For storage, you have two options. Either you can go in for the 16GB SSD or 160GB HDD. Going for 16GB SSD would be better option as the kids may not put the unit into standby (or put in into hibernation) before moving it around.

Disney Netbook to make its debut soon – hits the FCC

Netpal, better known as “Disney Netbook” has just hit the FCC and this means only one thing that it is soon going to be launched. Expect it to make its debut at end of July or early August. As mentioned earlier, expect a price tag of $350.

Disney teams up with ASUS to make a special netbook for kids! – NETPAL

‘Disney’ and ‘Netbooks’ may be the two terms that not used together, but soon Disney will coming out with a Disney branded netbook called Netpal. This netbook will be targeted towards the kids that are between 6-12 years of age.

The Netpal will come with an Atom processor and an 8.9-inch screen. As far as colors are concerned, you will have choice of two colors: “Princess Pink” and “Magic Blue”.
