Manli T1 and Manli T1-A-B NetTops – with goodness of Nvidia ION and Dual-core Atom 330
Manli’s newest offering, the NetTop T1, is equipped with the Dual Core Atom 330 processor that runs at 1.6GHz clock speed and is packed with the powerful Nvidia’s ION chipset (IGP9400).
Since it uses Atom processor, it consumes way less power than your regular desktop at your home or office. That said, you should not underestimate this little baby as it still packs a lot of punch. It can play all of your HD content (including 1080p videos) in all their glory. You can even play some of the latest 3D games.
Manli is offering two models: T1 and T1-A-B. T1 has 1GB DDR2 RAM and T1-A-B has 2GB RAM. In either case, you can upgrade the RAM upto 4GB. T1-A-B also features a bigger hard disk (250GB vs 160GB in T1). Both have HDMI ports too.
Both of the models will be available in the month of October.

ASUS EEE PC Seashell Range noticed with Windows 7 in Italy’s Online Stores
Looks like very soon ASUS is going to announce Windows 7-based Seashell netbooks. Current Seashell models (1005HA (299 Euros), 1008HA (399 Euros) and 1101HA (399 Euros) ) are being spotted in some online stores.
The EEE 1101HA is complemented with Windows 7 Home Premium instead of Starter Edition like the 1005HA and 1008HA. Reason being the fact that in most of the countries, it is being sold with Windows Vista Home Premium. Also, looks like all of them will be undergoing HDD upgrades too. 160 GB are things of the past now and 250GB HDD will be used as new standard. Also 2GB RAM will come as default instead of 1GB.
Commentary: ASUS Eee PC currently comes with Windows XP and it is nice that ASUS is on toes in rolling out Windows 7 based netbooks. The Seashell netbooks, especially EEE 1008HA and EEE 1005HA, both have enjoyed enormous success and Windows 7 will make things only better.

Acer Aspire 1810T/1410 User REVIEW – Plus and Minus points about this powerful netbook/mini-Laptop
Acer Aspire 1810T (Aspire 1410 in US) is a Acer Aspire 751H netbook on steroids. It has a more powerful CULV processor and GPU packed into small, lightweight package.
Cusem at aspironeforum bought himself an Acer Aspire 1810T and he seems to be pretty impressed with it. According to his review, here is what is cool about it:
(+) Powerful than the Intel Atom processor equipped netbooks
(+) The 6-cell battery does not protrude out the way it does in Acer Aspire D250/D150/A150 models. It sits completely flushed with the casing.
(+) Some key flex when using the keyboard
(+) Feels more like a notebook due to its high resolution rather than a netbook bearing low-resolution screen
(+) 1366×768 pixel resolution
(+) Even after upgrading it to 2GB, it felt slow with the Vista. Install Windows 7 instead
(+) Phenomenal battery life (7-8h+)
What is not cool about the Acer Aspire 1810T notebook/netbook:
(-) Slightly loose power button
(-) Grainy touchpad
(-) Less vivid colors on the display
(-) No sleeve/pouch/case included
Acer to offer Celeron-based CULV processors for its ultra-thin notebooks
Acer is very soon going to bring few changes in the type of processors being used in its Timeline thin-and-light series. For the low end models, Acer will offer Celeron-based Timelines. Until now we have encountered the 5410T and 3410T, 15.6” and 13.3” models based on the Celeron 723 at 1.3GHz. The 13-incher is priced [...]

BenQ launches Joybook S35 and Joybook S43 – based on CULV platform
BenQ has launched two ultra-thin CULV notebooks, Joybook S35 and Joybook S43. The Joybook S35 has a 13.3-inch screen and weighs 1.6kg.
BenQ will be offering it with either an 8-cell battery (11 hours runtime) or with a smaller 4-cell battery (5.5 hours runtime).
The Joybook S35 packs some more muscle as you have the option to get one with Radeon HD 4330 discrete graphics. The S35 packs a bigger screen too: 14-inch. But, both the models sport same screen resolution and even the choice of processors is same. You can get one with Celeron 723/743 or with Core 2 Solo SU3500 processor.
Other standard features include HDMI, WiFi (draft-N) and BT 2.1+ EDR. One can also opt-in for a huge 500GB HDD.
Both of the aforementioned models are already being shipped in Asia, but it is not known if they will make their way to EU or US.

Acer serious about ultraportables – to offer many more models soon – Introduces Acer Aspire 1410
Acer has become pretty serious about ultraportables and is currently offering more models in more shapes and sizes than any other netbook/ultraportable vendor. Most of upcoming models are based on the ULV SU3500 or SU9400 processor. However, its new Aspire 1410 uses SU2300 dual core processor instead of SU3500.
Sadly, the SU2300 uses just 1MB of cache, which can slow the things down. UPDATE: The Acer 1410 comes with SU3500. A price of just €449 is marked for an Aspire 1410 that comes with an Intel SU2300 ULV processor, 2GB RAM and a 250GB hard drive. It even incorporates an HDMI port, an 11.6-inch 1366×768 screen and optional UMTS support.
We anticipate that the Aspire 1410 to start shipping in the month of September this year.

We will post updates as we get more information about these MIDs.

Samsung N510 will have 3 versions – N508, N510 and N511
Some more follow-up news about the 11.6” Samsung N510 mini-notebook: The netbook choice has acquainted us that there will be 2 more models of the Samsung N510. Apart from N510, there will also be N508 and N510 models whose specs are not yet known. However, one of them is suspected to have an 10-inch display instead of 11.6-inch.
According to Netbook News Italia, there will be another model that will use ION LE that we mentioned few days back which apparently has NO SUPPORT FOR DIRECTX 10.

Acer drops 14-inch and 15-inch ultra-thin notebook orders due to low demand
The orders of newly launched Acer’s 14 and 15-inch CULV based notebooks will not be extended by Acer due to very low demand for these models. Acer is in the market with its 14 and 15-inch Timeline models, as well as a Travelmate series 14-incher based on the same platform.
Digitimes claims that, Wistron, is producing around 200,000 units per month, down from an expected 600,000 units. And it ought to effect shipments of the Wistron’s notebook badly. The report does not mentions 13-inch Timeline and Travelmate models.
It could be that the smaller models might be selling better than the bigger ones.
