Moblin 2.0 comes out of BETA – now available for download
Moblin 2.0, a Linux OS and an open source project focused on building a Linux-based platform optimized for the next generation of mobile devices including Netbooks, Mobile Internet Devices, and In-vehicle infotainment systems.

After being available as BETA to the users from past few months, Moblin has finally announced the final version of it. Give it a go guys!

Moblin 2.0 BETA for netbooks and nettops released – TRY it!
Today, Moblin have released version 2 BETA. According to the folks at Moblin, the OS is designed to run on Intel Atom based netbooks to prolong the battery life and provide simple, yet powerful user-experience.

Comments: Yes, this is the same OS that claimed 2-second boot up time. Although with the release of new BETA (which adds a lot of features over the previous alpha built), I do not think it will be able to boot in 2-seconds, but should still be fast enough.
