A new series of thin and light notebooks for the low powered CPUs has been launched by VIA, the VIA Nano 3000 series. In Q1 2010 it will go on mass production

With various SKUs are available with various clock speeds between 1GHz – 2GHz. Its highlights: 64-bit support and 1080P HD video support.

Pixel Qi Tablet Netbook debuting in November

“A new tablet netbook that uses the Pixel Qi display might be declared in November”. Those were the words of Mary Lou, CEO of Pixel Qi. This display has both e-ink and LCD display properties and one can toggle between these two types just by toggling a switch!

The mass production will commence once the production for limited volumes get completed.

Hynix announces second generation 1 GB DDR3 chips

Hynix has announced 2nd generation 1GB DDR3 chips (using 54nm process technology) that operate at 1.5V. It has 30% less power consumption than the previous generation. Hynix will commence mass production later this month.

Mobile Phenom II quad to be released in June
