Just as this could be a success in the consumer market, it could be a huge bestseller in healthcare. Why?Well, a Mac Tablet would be the ultimate user interface for electronic medical records (EMR) software. With a touch-screen display like the iPhone, it could help physicians speed up normal EMR operations. For example, when physicians evaluate a patient's illness, they have to enter an evaluation and management (E&M) code into the EMR. The code represents what service the physician performed during the visit. This process would be simplified using a Mac Tablet; the doctor could "dial in" the code with a swipe of a finger.Read more!

After EEEbuntu, here comes another Linux distro for netbooks – KDE netbook version

NetBook

eeebuntu

handhelds

interface style

iphone

KDE

kde version

linux

linux distro

linux distros

market

success

user interface

virus

After the great success of EEEbuntu and other custom linux distros for netbooks, KDE has announced that they will also produce a distro for netbooks. Netbooks, no doubt are one of the hottest selling tech-products in the market. However, KDE is not going to make a custom distro just by re-skinning the interface of the original distro. We aren’t making an interface for a “smaller laptop” or a “larger handheld”; the interface is for a netbook, which has a unique set of use cases and should have a unique, if familiar, user interface. To our knowledge, nobody is really doing this yet. We feel that just as Apple made popular an interface style on handhelds that is for handhelds with their iPhone/iPod touch interface, netbooks deserve a similar treatment.Click on read more

Asus, Acer and BenQ occupy 55% share of Chinese netbook market

NetBook

acer

asus

Asustek

benq

china

hp

lenovo

market

samsung

All the three Taiwanese netbook manufacturers: ASUS, ACER and BENQ occupy nearly 55% of the total netbooks market share in China. Also, EEE 1000H is the best selling netbook in Japan followed by Lenovo Ideapad S10 and Acer Aspire One.Commentary: The reason behind the EEE 1000H's success is simple. With newer EEE PCs rolling out in the market, the price of the 1000H has fallen down considerably. The full-featured netbook along with an irresistible price tag have together resulted in great sales. --- Also read: Lenovo Ideapad S10 review

Confirmed: Microsoft to Launch Windows Mobile application store [Windows Mobile]

windows mobile

windows mobile software

application store

market

microsoft

microsoft application store

Online Bazaar

Soon after Samsung’s application store, Microsoft is also planning to launch it’s own software store.
