Hua Yi 12-inch Netbook – Yet another Macbook Air clone

Hua Yi, a 12-inch netbook is a Macbook Air look-alike that is cloned in China. Unfortunately, it has netbook-ish specifications: An Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of Ram, 160GB HDD. and so on. It is set to carry a price tag of $249.

Cloned netbooks, we despair. Also, we are starting to loose count of these Macbook Air clones. We mentioned them here, here and here

Another MacBook Air clone dressed in Pink!- This time by XZX group

Adding to the list of clones of Macbook Air clones, a manufacturer called XZX group has unveiled its own replica of Apple MacBook Air that too dressed in pink. Pity, it does not share any resembles to the Macbook Air from the inside. It is a plain jane netbook from inside.

It has:

  • 11.1-inch display
  • Intel Atom N270 CPU
  • 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM
  • Non-removable 2700mAh battery (just like Macbook Air!)
  • 1.1kg

It will be there in China at the end of this month and will be priced under $300.

Commentary: Unfortunately, just like Macbook Air and EEE 1008HA, it too comes with an internal battery, for which you will have to pay a visit to the manufacture to get the battery replaced. Also, having internal battery irons out the chances of getting an extended battery. Although girls will find it cute and adorable for sure, I am afraid, I cannot say the same for the guys.

Golden Netbook by Caszh – Another cloned material or fake bling?

Golden Netbook by Caszh – Another cloned material or fake bling?

This is yet another netbook which should be added in the row of cloned netbooks/laptops. Caszh CA-L11A, a golden colored 11.6-inch netbook that sports a surprisingly well designed chiclet keyboard. It even features 1366×768 resolution on its 11.6-inch display. Other than that, it has fairly basic netbooks specs: Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD etc.

Price: under $200! We are very sure that no netbook manufacture can beat that price

Upon close investigation, we were able to make out that this Caszh netbook has the exact same keyboard as found in Macbook Air.

At a trade fair in China, a Chinese company is displaying a netbook that looks a lot like Macbook Air (to some extent). You will find an 12.1-inch screen with 1280 x 800 pixel display on this unit. Its touchpad has a single large button below it. That is where the similarities ends.

From inside, it is just another netbook as it comes with an 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB HDD. It runs Windows XP, has 2 USB ports and a 1.3MP webcam.

Had an eye on Macbook Air, but found it to be a little too expensive? If yes, then you must take a look at HiPhone, which is an 12.1-inch netbook that runs on an Atom N270 processor (1.6GHz). Just like any other netbook in the market, it comes with a 160GB HDD and 512MB/1GB RAM, but what sets this netbook apart from the rest is its display, which packs in 1280 x 800 pixels!

It looks quite a lot like a Macbook, but without the glowing Apple logo. Price? Just $450.

Apple Macbook Air clone – Teso

Apple Macbook Air clone – Teso

Teso is not the company many people are familiar with, but it has come up with a decent looking netbook, which looks a lot like the Apple’s Macbook Air. Sporting a 12.1-inch display, it should be smaller than the Macbook Air and not to mention much cheaper due to its netbook-ish specs:

  • Atom N270 CPU
  • 250GB HDD
  • WiFi
  • 1.4kg
  • RJ45 port
  • 2 USB 2.0 ports

So, the Macbook Air’s Intel Atom based clone is here. Although the specifications are quite normal for a nebtook (other than the 250GB HDD), it is really slim. It is nice to see the manufactures producing slim devices as they are much easier to carry around provided they do not give shabby battery life.

Although the keyboard is not all like the one found on Macbook Air. But hey, we are talking about netbooks here.
