WiMax-totting Lavie Light netbooks released in Japan
NEC Japan has launched Lavie Light netbook which comes equipped with latest Atom N470 1.83GHz Atom processor, a massive 320GB hard disk drive, 2GB RAM and a 10.1-inch display. This NEC netbook also features built-in WiMax and an SDXC slot. Both of these two features set it apart from the majority of monotonously speced netbooks.
Of course, you get the standard features too – Wi-Fi b/g/n, Ethernet, D-Sub, 3 USB 2.0 ports, and runs Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Forgot to mention, NEC claims that it has a runtime of 8.4 hours on a single charge. That is truly magical, eh?
LaVie Light Lui Mobile Netbook – NEC’s New Netbook
NEC has a released a netbook meant to be used with “NEC LUI remote desktop system”, LaVie Light Lui Mobile. It comes with an Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 1.3MP webcamera. It has a 10.1-inch screen with 1024×600 resolution which is generally found in an average netbook. NEC claims battery life to 8.5 hours, which is pretty solid for a netbook. No idea about pricing and release date till now.
