Windows 7 running on JooJoo

JooJoo tablet, which has been reported to be pretty big in Europe can now run Windows 7 with almost everything working. The touchscreen works; multitouch gestures work and of course, Flash works inside the web-browser. However, users are still trying hard to get the accelerometer and 3G radio working under the operating system.

JooJoo launched in Japan

Let’s face it, even after betraying TechCrunch, the JooJoo has failed to make any waves. Today, it is up for order in Japan for a price tag of 44,990 Yen ($500), which is the same price as the magical iPad (16GB, Wi-Fi only). It features Nvidia ION, Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB SSD and some custom version of Linux. The display has a diagonal size of 11.6-inch and packs 1366×768 pixels. JooJoo now available in Europe

JooJoo MID is now up for sale in Europe for 359 Euros (+ 15 Euros shipping charges). The JooJoo features 12.1-inch display, 1366×768 resolution, 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, ION GPU, and runs Linux OS. This thing is rare. Why? Because only 64 units have been sold so far. Still want it? Order here

JooJoo Tablet hits FCC

The controversial JooJoo tablet has finally hit the FCC.  Under its bonnet, it has an Atom N270 processor, ION-GPU and also has built-in 3G. You get a shabby 4G SSD for storage which should easily run any light weight Linux distro out there.

It supports two-finger scrolling and single-finger panning.

New JooJoo Tablet Shipping date revealed

The much-awaited JooJoo tablet was destined to ship by the end of February. Well, the end of February is here and there has no news of JooJoo being shipped. Well, folks at ubergizmo have received an email from the manufacture which basically says that the first shipment has been postponed to March 25, 2010 due to manufacturing delay.

To compensate for the delay, Fusion Garage, the makers of JooJoo will be including a free accessory.

JooJoo coming later this month

JooJoo, a tablet based on Linux OS will be released later this month, that is, by end of February 2010. Last December, it was seen taking pre-orders for $499 which is the same price at which the entry-level Apple iPad will retail at.
