Few Best Buy employees leaked the training slides on the web which depict the Microsoft's Anti-Linux agenda "Linux does not support many common applications and online services like iTunes, Zune, Quicken, Photoshop, and Office 2007". They even go one step ahead and simply said "Linux is not safer than Windows" Our take on the aforementioned claims by MSFT:1) Linux does not support many common applications and online services like iTunes, Zune, Quicken, Photoshop, and Office 2007:Linux may not be having the exact apps, but it has alternatives that do the same stuff. All that for free. For Photoshop, one can get GIMP. For Office, Openoffice and many others. There is even an app for syncing music with your iPod!Click on read more to read the whole article

Microsoft and Intel to limit netbook screen size to 10-inch for Windows 7

NetBook

bad news

Intel

job

microsoft

negative impact

netbooks

notebook makers

taiwan

Both Microsoft and Intel have decided to put a limit on the screen size for netbooks that would be running Windows 7 OS. It will be decreased from 12-inch to 10-inch now. According Taiwan based notebook makers, it had a negative impact on the VIA technologies. This is also a BIG BAD NEWS for the netbook manufactures: There won't be any netbooks running Windows 7 that will have 11.6-inch screen size.Believe it or not, we all saw this coming. The netbook manufactures were getting a little out of control and had started releasing almost notebook-sized netbooks.
