Jetway outs ION 2 nettop

If you are in the market for a nettop that comes with Atom D525 processor, next-gen ION graphics, you should definitely give a quick glance to the JetWay Mini Top Nettop. This nettop is a bare-bone PC – it does not comes with any RAM, storage or OS. So, you need to get them on your own.

Other specs include an HDMI, S/PDIF output, 5x USB 2.0 ports, eSATA port and DVI port. Available at leading online retails at 270 dollars.

Asus Eee Box with ION 2, Atom D510 processor

Asus has released a successor of the Eee Box EB1012 – Eee Box EB1012P which packs-in the dual core Atom 1.6GHz D510 processor and the next generation ION processor. This nettop comes with 250GB hard disk, 2GB DDR2 RAM, S/PDIF (present on the back of the nettop), VGA port, 6x USB 2.0 ports, LAN, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi b/g/n. Thanks to the ION 2 (next generation ION), it is fully capable of playing 1080p videos via an HDMI adapter.

The difference between the Asus Eeebox EB1012U and Asus Eeebox EB1012 is presence of USB 3.0 ports on the latter.

Jetway ION-2 Nettop

Jetway is soon going to launch an nettop featuring the new Dual-Core Atom D525 processor and next-generation ION graphic chipset. There will be another model that will be powered by Single-Core Atom D425.

Both the nettops are equipped with an HDMI port, LAN, eSATA, 4 USB 2.0 ports and headphone and microphone jacks.

Zotac unveils ZBOX ION-2 nettop

Zotac has rolled-out its nettop based on the next-gen ION graphics (ION-2). It is powered by the dual-core Atom D510 processor and is outfitted with both HDMI and DVI ports. It also appears that Zotac will be selling these without any HDD or SSD. Perhaps that is why, there is am empty place for 2.5-inch HDD or SSD.

The Zbox can be mounted on the back of PC monitor or can be used with its stand. You can buy this Zotac for an affordable $209.99- pretty decent for an ION-2 nettop.

ION-2 equipped Sparkle Nettops

Sparkle is planning to introduce nettops outfitted with the next-generation ION chipsets in the month of June (2010). These little computers will be able to support up to 4 gigs of RAM and handle HDDs up to 500GB. Of course, it will have Wi-Fi built-in, HDMI video output, DVI video output, 7.1 channel audio, 6x USB 2.0 ports and optional Bluetooth.

ION-powered Zotac Zbox HD-ID11 NetTop

Meet the Zotac’s new nettop – ZBOX HD-ID11 that flaunts NVidia ION-2 chip, which has 512MB of its own DDR3 graphics memory. The HD-ID11 is powered by Intel Atom D510 processor and features DDR2 RAM slot, 2.5-inch HDD bay, integrated WiFi 802.11n, HDMI and eSATA 3.0Gbp/s, six USB 2.0 ports, DVI, LAN, and a 6-in-1 memory card reader. It is stated to carry a price tag of $209.99 for the basic-model where you will yourself have to add in a HDD, RAM and operating system.

Note that unlike, Atom D410, the D510 is a dual-core processor and thus, packs a bit more punch. There is no news on its availability.

Zotac ION 2 coming in March

Zotac Mag ION 2 nettop will be hitting the market in the month of March 2010. Codenamed MAG HD-ND01, this ION 2 based nettop will use Atom D410/D510 and GeForce 210 chipset.

Zotac ION 2 will be priced at $249.
