Thin Adamo XPS launched by Dell
Adamo XPS, an 13-incher just 9.9mm thick is the thinnest notebook in the market. Sporting very smart and stylish looks and costing $1799, this is something you will love to flaunt around.
The Adamo XPS has a Intel Core 2 Duo processor that runs at 1.4GHz, GS45 chipset, 4GB of DDR3 and a 128GB SSD. No matter how nice it looks, the biggest question is: will its design allow the user to use it on his lap?
Lenovo Ideapad U150 noticed at CEATEC Japan – a CULV netbook from Lenovo
At CEATEC Japan, Lenovo was displaying an 11.6-inch Lenovo Ideapad U150 that is sports a bit beefier specs than the usual netbooks that we mention everyday. Instead of the usual Atom,it uses an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (according to PCwatch, it is ultra low voltage). It has 250GB hard disk, 2GB RAM, Intel GMA X4500 graphic chipset. Weighing just 1.35kg and being just 13.5mm thick, it should be pretty darn easy to carry around. It has full size keyboard and has decent-size touchpad.
It has some luxuries that you do not see in a usual netbook like leather palm rest and patterns all over its body.

Asus UL series unveiled – UL20A, UL30A, UL50A and UL80A
Asus has come up with a new series of CULV-based notebooks, to mainly tackle the Acer’s Timeline series.
First is the 13.3-inch model, the UL30A which measures 322 x 232 x 14.8-24.2mm, weighs 1.5kg (slightly smaller than the 13-inch Timeline 3810T) and includes the choice of getting one with a dual-core Celeron.
The only that incited us is the UL20A, the smallest of all of them. It is an 12-incher (1366×768 resolution) with dimensions 296x210x25.1mm and weighs 1.5 kg. You get the choice of getting one with Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor (1.3GHz); Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 (1.4GHz) or Intel Celeron SU2300 (1.2GHz). The ASUS’ site just mentions Windows Vista OS, not mentioning which version of Vista is being used. Unlike most of the netbooks, it has support for upto 4GB of RAM too. You can configure this CULV notebook with upto 320GB HDD (choices include 160GB, 250GB and 320GB). It also equipped with a 6-cell battery.
UL20 and UL30 do NOT come with built-in optical drives.

Gateway EC1803h netbook lands in Canada – Rebranded Acer Aspire 1810T
Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T is being shipped as Acer Aspire 1410 netbook in the US. No information if it will ever make its debut in the US.
So, compared to the standard netbooks, this is basically a little monster as it has a more powerful processor, more RAM and bigger hard disk. Is there anything to hate about this netbook? Folks, it runs Vista.
MSI to use AMD Neo processor for its X-Slim series
MSI’s AMD-based X-Slim X610 has not hit the market yet, but in Russia, couple of individuals were able to get their hands on it. A news which broke up back in May says that MSI will start using AMD Neo chips in some X-Slim series models in Q3. Sadly, MSI has decided to stick to larger X-Slim models, the 14-inch X410 and the 15.6-inch X600.
The X610 is somewhat like the CULV-based X600. For instance, it shares the same chassis and majority of the specs have remained unchanged, like 4GB of memory, 250GB of storage and Radeon HD 4330 discrete graphics with 512MB of memory.
The X610 has AMD’s Athlon MV-40 at 1.6GHz, its slower than the Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 that runs at 1.4GHz. We are expecting the price to be cheaper than the €699 Intel version
