Intel Atom 330 and Atom 230 to be phased-out

Next month, that is, April, manufactures and vendors will no longer be able to order the single-core Atom 230 or the dual-core Atom 330 processors. The vendors will be asked to move over to the newer Atom D410 and D510 processors.

For those who don’t know – the Atom D410 is single-core and Atom D510 is dual-core. We are also counting on Intel to launch the special versions that would support DDR3 RAM modules (D415 and D515 anyone?)

Artopz Minitopz Nettop costs $2250!

The Artopz Minitopz nettop has both dual-core Intel Atom 330 CPU and NVidia ION graphics. It has the same general specs which we usually come across, but there is something in it that no other nettop has – da looks.

Artopz Minitopz is priced at $2250. But, then this nettop is all about style. Although for that price, we would instead decorate our room with a $15 USB lamp!

Haleron has launched a new sporty netbook, Swordfish Net 20. Unlike most netbooks that we come across by everyday, it comes with high performance Intel Atom 330 Dual Core processor that is more commonly seen in nettops rather than netbooks. It has a standard 10.2-inch screen, 250GB HDD and 2GB RAM. It has also features Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0 ports, a VGA port and Ethernet. It even features a 3G modem so that you remain connected wherever you go.

You can choose between Linux or Windows 7 operating system. It will be available in wide range of colors with the prices starting at $499.
