Gigabyte S1024 finally launched in Hong-Kong

As reported in the month of February, the Gigabyte S1024 was supposed to be released in April together with two other 10-inch netbooks, Gigabyte M1022 and T1028, which were released in the US and EU last month.

Better late than never as Gigabyte S1024 has FINALLY made its appearance in the Hong Kong. It comes with an 10.1-inch 1024×576 display, Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 80GB PATA HDD, W-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5G HSDPA SIM and 6-cell battery.

Gigabyte T1028 and M1022M for sale in Europe, but at outrageous prices!

At CeBIT, Gigabyte showcased three netbooks: M1022, S1024 and T1028. Gigabyte has launched two of these netbooks in Europe: M1022M and T1028.

The Gigabyte M1022M comes with Atom N270 processor, 2GB RAM, 10-inch screen and 160GB HDD. The current listed price of M1022M is €549, which is pretty steep for a netbook with such basic specs. SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) with UMTS support will back you €649.

Its touchscreen sibling, the Gigabyte T1028 sports similar specs: N270 Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, UMTS and swivel touchscreen. It will retail at €699.
