Few days back, we mentioned about the EKING S515 MID phone, which is basically a rebandaged Digicube Z8. Although we were very impressed with it, but one thing scared us: its price. We expected this MID phone to cost $1000+, but EKING folks have been able to keep the price down to mere $720.

Boy! These smartbooks are turning out be really cheap. Here is a 7-inch smartbook from Sungworld priced ridiculously low at $73. Of course, at $73, you cannot expect a netbook running XP. It has a ARM processor running at 300MHz clock speed, made by VIA. It has a 7-inch WVGA (800×480) display and comes with 1GB of storage. It runs Windows CE and comes with a built-in 1800mAh battery

Few days back, we mentioned a netbook/smartbook that costs $50 and is able to run Linux. Now, we have a slightly higher priced smartbook by Singworld that runs Windows CE OS. How low can they go?! Anyday, I would choose the one running Linux though over the Windows CE

Few days back, when we mentioned about this Qi Smartbook U1000, we only had few press shots in hand which just do not tell clearly how the device looks in real life. Now, we have got hold of a couple of pictures of the Qi Smartbook that show how the device look in flesh. To be honest, it just look like any other Windows Mobile device to us. The only difference is the use of huge screen instead of comparatively smaller displays that we generally find in Windows Mobile devices.

In case you have a weak memory like me, this beast has a 5-inch display with WVGA resolution and runs Windows Mobile 6.1. It also has a huge 1900mAh battery that will make it run whole day even in the hands of a power-user.

More Maemo based devices coming – Nokia to develop Maemo based devices for high-end segment

Nokia has decided to focus on the development of the Maemo based MIDs (Mobile Internet Devices) for the high end mobile computing segment. Few days back, Nokia unveiled Nokia N900 which is based on Maemo platform and now Nokia will releasing even more MIDs in the future

It is unclear whether the upcoming MIDs will have cellphone functionality or not.

We few days back mentioned about the much talked Nokia’s new Booklet 3G netbook and now the company is again in the news for its smartbook. Few sources in Taiwan claim that ‘Nokia will release an ARM based smartbook in mid 2010 next year.’

Nokia Booklet 3G will there in the market in early 2010. But still, everyone is waiting for 2nd of September to hear for the formal words from the company. The Booklet 3G is rumored to carry US $799 price tag.

Few days back, we mentioned about the MSI X-slim notebook and Wind netbooks based on AMD’s NEO platform and according to fudzilla, amazingly, MSI has begun shipping some of its Neo-based notebooks, right now to particularly to France and Belgium. MSI is still in a mum about their products,which is yet not made public officially.

X410 is a very attracting model, weighing just 1.5kg and it’s under 25mm thick, which makes it the lightest and slimmest of all. It has a 14-inch display and is backed by an Athlon MV-40 at 1.6GHz, has 2GB of memory and 320GB of storage, draft-n wireless and comes installed with Vista Premium.

X410 is listed by some French vendors at as low as €414 although some are shipping at higher price which is slightly above €500. While Belgian e-tailers have also listed the X400, which is based on Intel’s SU3500 CPU. However, the price difference is astonishing. Shockingly, X400 costs €650, while the X410 is listed at just €499.

The battery life of AMD-based X410 with that of X400 is incomparable as the latter offers much better battery life.

Some more follow-up news about the 11.6” Samsung N510 mini-notebook: The netbook choice has acquainted us that there will be 2 more models of the Samsung N510. Apart from N510, there will also be N508 and N510 models whose specs are not yet known. However, one of them is suspected to have an 10-inch display instead of 11.6-inch.

According to Netbook News Italia, there will be another model that will use ION LE that we mentioned few days back which apparently has NO SUPPORT FOR DIRECTX 10.
