SONY VAIO P – Ubuntu 9.04’s problems and how to solve them

Many people, like me, love to dual-boot. Until now, I ran Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 on my VAIO, but being a Linux geek, I could not stop myself in installing Ubuntu. I went for the Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop edition this time as I thought that VAIO P has extra-ordinary resolution and Desktop edition might just fit the bill right. Boy, was I wrong!

Acer is going to launch their Acer Android netbook in the month of November. Earlier, we had mentioned that it would be running Windows XP and Android, but since Windows 7 is coming later this month, it be replace the former.

So, now you do know what to buy during Christmas time?

CTD DragonFly MID – Two folding LCDs!

CTD DragonFly MID is one of most interesting devices I’ve ever come accross till now. It comes with two LED-backlit foldable LEDs! CTD claims that it will have an all-day battery life and will run Windows XP as its primary OS although they plan to dual boot it with Moblin linux

Personally, I do not see the point of carrying a device with two LCDs built-in. I would rather have a single higher resolution screen to gain extra real estate for my work.
