US Dell Streak shipping with Android 1.6 OS
The most popular MID phone – Dell Streak – will be shipped with the Android 1.6 OS in the US. However, Dell’s blogger L. Menchaca did mention that Streak users will indeed get an OTA update that will update the OS to v2.2.

Dell Streak has HID support
Dell Streak never ceases to surprise us. It is a known fact that most of the Android devices do not feature HID profile. As a result of which one cannot use Bluetooth mouse and keyboard with them. However, it seems has Dell has baked-in this ‘missing’ functionality into the OS and one can use any Bluetooth mouse or keyboard straight out-of-the box.

Dell Streak having software problems already?
The Facebook widget is driving the new Dell Streak users literary mad as everytime they try to connect to the Facebook, they get an error message “Failed to connect to the Facebook service". Logging out and logging in does not change the situation. In short, the widget just does not work.

The Dell Streak 5 MID sports a 5-inch WVGA display, 1GHz Qualcomm processor, Wi-Fi, 3000mAh battery, 5MP camera, Bluetooth and 3G.

Dell M01M is the Mini 5?
Dell Streak/Mini 5 prototype, also known as Dell Phone has shown up as "Dell M01M" in Shenzhen, China. The M01M is powered by 1GHz Snapdragon processor (also being used in HTC HD2), Android 1.6 OS, WVGA 5-inch display, 5MP camera, dual-LED flash, front-facing camera and comes with a 1530mAh battery.
Priced at somewhere around a grand, this Android monster feels and look much bigger than the Apple iPhone
