There were several rumors brewing online that Apple is looking forward to buy ARM. ARM’s CEO has denied the rumors and told the Guardian that there is no reason to buy ARM when they can easily license a particular processor design for much cheaper price.

"Exciting though it is to have the share price pushed up by these rumors, common sense tells us that our standard business model is an excellent way for technology companies to gain access to our technology," East reportedly said. "Nobody has to buy the company."
